Thailand stay dates: three checks to keep separate
Keep the permitted-until date in your passport, the next-report date on your receipt and your travel dates separate. A reporting window is not an extension of stay. The date tools compare what your documents say; they do not choose a visa, infer an allowance from nationality, or decide whether an application is eligible.
Use the stamp.
The stay counter includes arrival and stamped expiry dates in its displayed span. It compares planned departure with that expiry. A visa’s entry-validity date is not substituted for the permitted-until date, and no current visa-exemption duration is assumed.
Use the reporting receipt.
Enter the next-report date printed by immigration. The tool shows the general in-person window from fifteen days before through seven days after. It does not calculate an online deadline, a first-report date or a holiday adjustment.
Treat a fine as a narrow estimate.
The overstay tool estimates only the standard monetary amount. It does not predict waivers, exemptions, detention or entry bans. Confirm the official guidance relevant to your circumstances before relying on any date comparison.
