Pattaya exchange and ATM costs: compare the net
Compare the baht you receive after the charges you can identify. An exchange quote and an ATM withdrawal are different calculations: one multiplies your currency by a quoted rate, while the other adds fees to cash withdrawn. Keep conversion direction, operator charges and issuer charges visible before comparing your options.
Read the rate direction.
The exchange tools use baht received for one home-currency unit. A quote printed the other way around needs to be inverted before entry. Use the quote offered for your actual transaction, not a reference rate treated as a cash promise.
Separate each fee.
The ATM calculator models an operator fee, an issuer percentage charged on the cash amount, and an issuer fixed fee expressed in baht. It excludes conversion spreads and cash-advance interest. Add any issuer fee charged on the operator fee to the fixed charge.
Use the bank-specific preset carefully.
The Krungsri fee schedule linked by the calculator is checked for the stated foreign-card categories. Its preset does not establish the price at another bank or guarantee what a machine will display on your transaction date.
